The Sundial Sculptures cast shadows on the ground according to the Sun’s position in the sky. These shadows are created by figurative forms.
The four (4) sundial sculptures create figurative forms and a number, producing time based shadows on the ground. They are installed on the grounds of Questacon, Canberra . The conceptual approach in the selections of the figurative forms was drawn from a kinaesthetic narrative of age and time passing. The four outlined figurative forms are; a young girl with balloon (10am), a teenage boy doing a hand stand (12pm), a middle aged woman “Yoga Mum” (2pm) and an elderly male with a walking cane (4pm).
