The Sundials cast shadows on the ground according to the Sun’s position in the sky. These shadows are created by the figurative forms.
The four sculptural sundial elements outline figurative elements and time based number shadows and are installed in the grounds of Questacon, Canberra . The conceptual approach in the selections of the figurative forms was drawn from a kinaesthetic narrative of age and time passing. The four (4) outlined figurative and time elements are a young girl with balloon (10am), a teenage boy doing a hand stand (12pm) A middle aged woman “Yoga Mum” (2pm) and an elderly male with a walking cane (4pm).
